Staycation Summer Fun

Whether you’re looking to stay in or go out and explore, our communities and homes make it easy to have staycation summer fun. From making popsicles in the backyard to kayaking the beautiful Savannah River, there’s something for everyone of all ages.

Staying In

  • Make popsicles- this is really simple and you can use any liquid to make a flavorful popsicle. There are templates at most grocery stores and can be found online
  • Play board games- it’s time to take out those board games collecting dust in a closet and show your competitive side
  • Movie day- it’s ok to be lazy and watch movies all-day
  • Obstacle course- find everything and anything that can be used as a barrier and create a unique obstacle course inside or outside
  • DIY Slip N’ Side- There are DIY tutorials for almost everything on the internet and a homemade slip n’ slide is cheap and will occupy you for hours. Here is one 


Going Out

  • The Big Mo Drive In- Our local drive-in movie theatre is always a fun trip and always has the most recent movies More Big Mo Information
  • Pink Dipper- If you don’t want to make popsicles at home, but want a sweet treat from a local shop, then this is a necessity for North Augusta residents
  • Serene 18 Paddle Trail- Columbia Convention and Visitors have a program where you can rent kayaks and complete 3 trails and get your passport stamped to receive an award for accomplishing all kayak trails. More info and a movie trailer on the paddle here
  • Golf and more golf- There are lots of public golf courses around to play. There is Bartram Trail in Grovetown and The River Club in North Augusta or Mount Vintage Golf Club. Golf Pass Info
  • Learn About Your City’s History- Downtown offers multiple museums and information to learn more about the history of the city you are living in. North Augusta living history park
  • Euchee creek- Always fun to get outside and get some exercise and the beautiful trails at Euchee Creek is the perfect place to do that. These trails are right by our Caroleton and Brighton communities
