Ivey Homes Involves Homebuyers in Choosing Donations for Local Charities in their “Buy Ivey, Build Community” Campaign

For Ivey Homes, the sentiment of giving back runs deep through its company culture. As a local builder-developer and supporter of the Augusta River Region, Ivey looked for a creative way to give back to the community in 2021. The Buy Ivey, Build Community Campaign was born as a way to involve Ivey’s homeowners in the giving. Thanks to Ivey’s homebuyers, the first-quarter donations totaled over $15,000 benefiting ForcesUnited, The Family Y of Greater Augusta – Youth Sports & Camps, and The Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer’s Care.

“As a company, we feel that it is important to give back and support our local community.  We felt like this would be a good way to get our homebuyers to help direct where the investment is going based on their interest.  As a rule, we have decided to give to three charities each quarter in 2021.  We are targeting one military charity because of the importance of Fort Gordon to our area, one charity that focuses on children, and one general charity supporting the needs of the Augusta area,” states, Matt Ivey, Co-Owner, Ivey Homes

“We are thankful for our partners at Ivey Homes,” said Craig Miracle, district vice president for The Family Y. “Their donation helps ensure that all children have access to quality programming at the Y and that no one is turned away for their inability to pay.”

“ForcesUnited is so very grateful for Ivey Homes and their unwavering dedication in support of our mission in support of local veterans and their families. Ivey Homes share in our service mission to provide housing and safe and enjoyable quality of life for those we serve, and it is our distinct honor that they would select ForcesUnited as a benefactor. These funds will assist us in providing services to mitigate crisis to those who turn to us for assistance, and we are again most grateful.”  Victoria Hann, CEO & President, ForcesUnited

Ivey Homes was honored to present ForcesUnited, The Family Y of Greater Augusta – Youth Sports & Camps, and The Jud C. Hickey Center for Alzheimer’s Care with donation checks on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

With the second quarter underway, Ivey Homes looks forward to another successful campaign for the charities chosen, they are The Children’s Hospital of Georgia, SafeHomes Domestic Violence Center, and Folds of Honor.
